Turkey is one of the most sought after destinations for immigration. A warm climate, diverse and multicultural population, as well as flexible migration laws are the main points that those who want to move look for when considering the Turkish coast.
Why is Turkey a great choice?
- Safety. Low crime rate makes Turkey one of the safest countries in the world.
- Quality medical treatment. An ambulance arrives within 5 minutes. Most insurance packages cover not only doctor’s treatment, but also from 40% to 100% of the costs on prescriptions.
- Favorable climate. A large number of sunny days per year, warm winters and gentle sea are the visiting cards of the Turkish coast.
- Ease of doing business. Turkish legislation gives a chance to open an LLC or become a sole proprietor without any problems, and there are no unmotivated audits by supervisory authorities. (For our offerings for business check out the link).
- Affordable housing. The high pace of construction in Turkey makes real estate in the country very affordable for both rent and purchase.
- Ecology. The government cares about air quality and intensively invests in improving it.
- Hospitality. The locals are very hospitable and friendly. They are always ready to help.
Why Turkey can be bad?
- Job search. Finding a job for a foreigner in Turkey is quite difficult. Preference for hiring is given to Turkish citizens, and therefore it is difficult to find a good option. Having a diploma and work experience is a prerequisite when looking for a job. There are very few low-skilled vacancies on the market.
- Food. Local cuisine can differ significantly from what you have you been used to. In Turkey, you will not be offered pork, cereals, and the conventional dairy products.
- Language. The official language of the state is Turkish, which belongs to the Turkic group of languages, which is very different from European or Asian groups of languages. Learning Turkish will take some time and a significant amount of diligence.
- Failure to comply with traffic rules. Local drivers quite often turn a blind eye to traffic rules, which often leads to accidents on the roads.
